The President of the United States was just accused of persistent charity fraud. Not good.
The former Gary School Board members, recent through a couple of decades ago, are very lucky that they are not being held personally responsible for the massive debts the School District incurred while they were micromanaging it.
Dear Robert Buggs of the Gary School Board, I’m rather perplexed at the statement I read in the Post Tribune Thursday. Do you really think because Gary is mostly black that is why the state is picking on you? I quote “If we were in in any other neighborhood, we wouldn’t be having the same dialogue.” That’s correct. Because in any other neighborhood, the State Board of Accounts would be holding them accountable. No million dollar loans floating from one year to the next. I have been watching, for decades, the decline of the Gary School system, and I’m outraged the rest of us taxpayers have been footing the bill for the incompetency that has been displayed. Gary Schools were once the gem of the nation. People moved to Gary because of how great they were. To watch the downfall has been truly heartbreaking. I do believe it’s time for inner reflection not finger pointing.
My Lord people, you need to learn to let it go before you get an ulcer. It has been over 500 days since Donald beat Hillary. That very fact alone brings daily whining in Quickly about our president, all while he is out there doing great things for our country. If you are going to whine, do it about the past regime — that’s worth whining (about).
Now you can add the Trump Foundation to Trump University as corrupt enterprises run by Trump and his family. Trump is charged with using the foundation illegally as a piggy bank for paying fines and private business debts. That is, when he paid them at all. Just another little sleazy detail that will mean nothing to Trump’s besotted fans.
As I drive around our city of Portage I notice how many grass cutting contractors cut the grass and direct the discharge into the street. The citizens also do this. I guess they do not understand that they are clogging up what storm sewers we have. The Council needs to address this and develop an ordinance to charge a fine for doing it. But I guess they are to busy arguing and filing lawsuits against each other to address a problem as simple as this.
The President of the United States just saluted the dictator of North Korea. He said he’s a great negotiator, and the people love him. The freedom and liberty of my democracy is being threatened by Trump. Congress please speak to save our country.
I rarely see my pro-Trump or pro-Republican comments ever printed. I send them in and look, but rarely see them make print. I agree with the other comment person that Quickly is biased with too many anti-Trump, anti-Republican comments. In everyday life at work, with friends or at school functions, almost everyone is pro-Trump. But not Quickly. Something is fishy!
Trump’s humiliating behavior at the meeting with Kim Jong Un was capped off when he actually saluted a North Korean general. Maybe if he had some actual, real diplomats on his staff he’d have known that the President of the United States does not salute the general of a foreign country, especially one that has threatened to annihilate us. But, no preparation for this meeting was needed. It’s all about “attitude.”
Apparently China knew about Trump’s agreement to suspend military exercises with South Korea even before our own military leaders knew. If this isn’t treason on Trump’s part, it’s sure close to it.
To the commenter complaining about negative Trump comments: Maybe if you read a paper, you would learn the truth about your supreme leader. Turn off the TV. The fake news is spewed by him and his followers daily. Nine to one negative comments tells me where the truth is.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders may be out by the end of the year — oh my — hopefully we will get somebody that knows how to deal with the press — and tell the truth.
