It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.
You gotta laugh at people insisting that the media should stick to just reporting the facts while they can’t restrict themselves to just speaking the truth.
The president lied or misled the public 19 times in one appearance on Friday morning. The media is not the problem, the problem is the president that constantly wants to change facts to reflect things to favor him.
The cruelty that the GOP has for other people is nothing short of shocking. “The less we can give to you is more we can take for ourselves” seems to be their motivation.
And those faithful Trump fans were so willing to hand over the Nobel Peace Prize for what exactly?
Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it most never use it.
To the Quickly reader who sees nothing but pro-Trump comments in real life but just the opposite in Quickly: it is because of the kind of people you hang around with. Educated people with jobs are going to be pro-Trump because they can relate to his vision and have no bitterness from Hillary’s loss over 500 days ago. Anti-Trump people have been avoiding getting a job or getting schooled and are still hoping for that big payout the Democrats promised them for the last elections.
It is really surprising that we have people fighting so vigilantly over whether we need new gun laws. Every single American should want to do everything possible to keep this country safe and sound for their children.
Finally, some Republicans and even a Fox News host have jumped on the “time to get rid of Scott Pruitt” bandwagon. They are claiming that he is “hurting the president.” No, he is hurting the entire country.
Polls regularly show that Republican voters want clean air, water and parks. So support for Scott Pruitt and his agenda tends to be concentrated among GOP elites, those who stand to personally benefit from his actions, just as he is trying to do.
Some in the GOP have criticized Trump followers as being in a cult. Donald Trump, Jr responded by saying “If it’s a cult, it’s because they like what my father is doing.” Really nice way to admit that behavior.
When Kim Jong Un speaks, Trump told a reporter, his people “sit up in attention.” I want “my people,” Trump said, “to do the same.” Don’t kid yourself, these are the words of a budding fascist.
Give the gift of your absence to those who do not appreciate your presence.
