I see where Democratic gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker’s cruise company did a complete turnaround. It now supports union efforts in the company he co-owns. Gee, I’ll bet you that if he wasn’t running for office that he wouldn’t be doing that.

While I was waiting for the news to come on, the television said that one of the “Harry Potter” movies was going to be more than two hours long. It didn’t show how many minutes of the time slot would be commercials. What do you think – about half of that time? Why do they show so many commercials?
I recently read an article about the ramifications of dumping so much salt onto our roads over winter. Why do these townships indiscriminately dump so much salt on these roads? Even in subdivisions that don’t need much they dump salt from one side of the road to the other. They throw it in people’s yards and saturate these roads in salt, which ends up in our water supply. In some places, it’s probably contaminating groundwater. . . I can see putting salt on major roads but they don’t need to dump so much salt in some places. Winter’s coming and the first sign of snow they’ll be dumping tons of salt in places that don’t need it.
People may be happy with President Donald Trump and his policies because they see their 401(k)s going through the roof. That’s good but ask yourself what’s driving it. If it’s removing regulations against banks engaging in risky behavior and businesses dumping toxic waste into the environment, look out, folks. We know from 240 years of American history both politically and economically that every four to seven years the market crashes. Maybe, it’ll be a slight recession as a correction or a big depression but it will happen. Millennials prefer renting over homeownership. It’ll come crashing down. . .

Turn the lights off. The Cubs are done. Your so-called superstars are not showing up or coming through. See you in spring training.
