It’s not the Muslims. It’s not brown asylum seekers crossing the border. It’s white supremacist men with military assault type weapons slaughtering our citizens. Children in schools, the elderly in malls and police attempting to protect us. The time has come to ban every weapon over six rounds and every gun should be registered like an automobile. Our future depends on it.
After two of the latest mass shootings in Texas, on Sunday 10 new laws loosening firearms restrictions took effect. Texas already has the most liberal gun laws in the nation.
Christopher Combs, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Antonio’s Office said this latest shooting was not connected to either domestic or international terrorism. I beg to differ, he was a white man with a gun fixation, killing innocent Americans, how is that not classified as a domestic terrorist?
The Republicans are afraid to act on gun control because of the NRA and Trump losing votes. Maybe we should impeach McConnell? He is running this country and not Trump.
President Trump says the shooting in Odessa changes nothing about his administration’s gun reform talks. “This really hasn’t changed anything, we’re doing a package, that’s irrespective of what happened yesterday in Texas.” In other words, we are doing absolutely nothing.
Trump on Odessa shooting: “It’s a mental problem.” Yes it is. The president and the entire GOP are mentally unstable because they can’t comprehend that our country is in a crisis concerning these weapons of war. Somebody has to do something before every single town has its own war zone.
As our Republican leadership keeps thinking and praying people continue to die. When will reality of their responsibility for these mass shootings finally sink in? Their inaction makes them an accessory in my opinion. I would like it very much if the courts would test this theory?
First thing, Trump is talking about the tariffs not being such a bad thing. I guess not so bad, considering it’s easier than focusing on the recent mass shooting that happened on his watch, that he doesn’t want to talk about. And won’t do anything about, because his masters at the NRA won’t let him.
Forget Trump. He will continue to lie no matter what happens. The key is to remove the enabling Republican Senate. The house has passed over 189 bills that McConnell refuses to bring to a vote. Win the senate. Then you will be able to remove Trump and pass legislation.
What’s remarkable about Donald Trump is that a man who based his campaign on lies, false accusations, and name calling was able to become President. What’s more remarkable is that he continues to use the same tactics to brainwash his supporters, and they fall for it. Look at his latest lie about China paying tariffs, China doesn’t, American consumers do. Where’s this great health care plan he supposedly came up with? We sure don’t hear about that anymore. I guess he’s too busy undoing EPA regulations, so big business can pollute the air and water we all depend on.
Just when Trump and his bosses at the NRA thought everyone has already forgotten about the gun safety issue, it has happened again. Poor Donny, Mitch and Wayne just can’t get a break. Guess they will just have to offer more prayers and condolences like usual.
