To all of the Republican politicians, including their feckless leader President Trump, the school shooting in California on Thursday was the 30th shooting at a school this year. So while you refuse to do anything about any of those gun control bills sitting there waiting for your approval, we just watch more kids getting killed.
No, the biggest threat to our national security is the current president.
The Senate voted to make Steven Menashi a federal judge. He’s never tried a case. He condemned women’s rights and diversity. He refused to answer senator’s questions. Every Democrat present voted against, every Republican present except Collins voted to confirm. This is not a prime candidate and should never receive a lifetime post.
Does everyone remember when the president first took office, he said his business interests would be taken over by his two older sons. But it is very apparent that both sons are very involved in the president’s politics, regularly going on Fox News and tweeting vitriol against the president’s perceived political enemies.
I consider the whistleblower a patriot. All of these people that come forward to report corruption, put their careers, their lives and their future at great risk. They are honorable people, and sadly the corrupt people of our own government are trying to denigrate them at every turn.

The Department of Justice has not been able to find anything concrete to charge Andrew McCabe with. They have tried and tried and delayed as much as they could, but still couldn’t produce anything. Trump’s guys keep getting indicted, but those he claims are corrupt, are just walking free.
At his rally in Louisiana on Thursday, President Trump told the crowd “(The Democrats) are trying to undo the last election because they know that they can’t win the next election” … and he’s right.
In a telephone interview with the Guardian, Rudy Giuliani says that he has “insurance” in case Trump turns on him. This is mob speak. “Insurance” means that he has dirt on Trump. This is how everything works in their world. Get leverage over others to ensure loyalty.
Why did it take so long to get to an Impeachment Inquiry? It should have happened long ago. The man sullied our voting process to win an election. He has been unfit from day one. On the first day of the inquiry, I watched a clown show of Republicans do everything except try to get the facts. The entire party needs a remedial class on the Constitution.
The Republican Party is no longer seen as legislators, but as public defenders of President Trump. During the Impeachment Inquiry, they were not trying to unveil the truth, they choose to intimidate and belittle witnesses and spew personal, ridiculous opinions. The president should be compensating his party for their legal services.
Now that the Impeachment Inquiry hearings have started, new subpoenas should be issued to everyone that ignored the first ones. If they refuse, hold them in contempt and jail them until they agree to appear.
Now the Republicans are saying that with the impeachment process the Democrats are trying to undo the 2016 election where the American people duly elected Donald Trump president. The impeachment isn’t about the 2016 election; it’s about the 2020 election. Donald Trump’s illegal actions with Ukraine were aimed at influencing the 2020 election results. If the Republican Senators find nothing wrong with Trump soliciting foreign governments to be involved with the next presidential election, the anything goes for Donald Trump and the 2020 election will always be questioned.
