I’m beginning to see what supposedly devout people mean by “freedom of religion.” It means freedom to completely abandon their religious principles if it means more money, more fun, or more power over others. No wonder Trump says he has done more for religion than any other president.
The whole Republican argument is that Trump withheld aid from Ukraine because he really hates corruption. But just a week ago, he had to pay $2 million for ripping of a charity. And don’t forget about that $25 million fine for running that corrupt, fraudulent Trump University. He really hates paying for his own corruption.
Sent from my iPad. For New Years, the press should demand the truth, and documentation before allowing stories to run. Don’t allow rumors, don’t allow lies, and don’t ever allow conspiracy theories to flourish. Too many people can’t differentiate between truth and lies.
Former Senator Jeff Flake wrote a letter to his former colleagues and asked “What if President Obama had engaged in precisely the same behavior? I know the answer to that question with certainty, and so do you. You would have understood with striking clarity the threat it posed, and you would have known exactly what to do.”
Rep. John Dingell was one of the longest serving members of Congress. Trump claimed he gave him A+ treatment after he died, which actually was just allowing flags to be lowered for the day. In return, he expected a quid pro quo from his wife. He expected her to vote against his impeachment. Trump always demands a payback, always.
One one side is Nancy Pelosi, ice in her veins, sharpened steel in her heels, calmly turning the screws. On the other is an impertinent toddler flinging his toys around his playpen. Pelosi has the upper hand … all she needs to do is wait. Trump knows this, and it is killing him.
Trump cannot handle impeachment hanging over his head. He needs the ego-healing of a sham exoneration, just like William Barr’s fake exoneration of the Mueller report. He’s like a little boy with a scrape. It isn’t a big injury, but he won’t stop crying until he gets a Band-aid, and some ice cream.
Donald Trump and his band of screamers in the GOP want you to think that this Impeachment is nothing but a hoax. They have the power to prove that, and could do it so easily. Trump could have released all of the documents requested, and everyone should have been allowed to testify. Senator McConnell can still make that happen. They won’t, because those that need to testify under oath, won’t clear Trump, they will sink him, even further.
I look forward to the impeachment hearing in the Senate after we suffered through the hoax in the House with a final conclusion along party lines with the Democrats winning because of their higher number of members. The Senate will do a much better job because of their higher ethical standards and more stable leadership. Having more Republicans than Democrats being an added plus.
What a sight to behold, and during the Christmas season at that. Evangelical Christians praising and defending the most immoral and corrupt president in modern history. This can’t be what Christianity is all about.
Trump believes it when “women tell me” that they have to run their dishwashers twelve or fifteen times to get more than “four drops” of water. He doesn’t believe them so much when they tell him it’s hard to make ends meet when they get paid about 20 percent less than men for doing the same jobs.
Nope, “Trump Derangement Syndrome” does not mean that you still believe in democracy and yep, you most certainly are on the list. Right at the top.
Trump was told by his BFF Putin, and he believes it, that it was really Ukraine that interfered in the 2016 election. Now we know how he learned that the grass is blue and the sky is green. Putin told him so.
