It’s interesting how a few rich people in Long Beach want to restrict what people can do on the beach in front of their houses. That issue was settled by the courts in favor of the public so now they are trying to pass legislation to there favor. Hell, no!
About that required “In God We Trust” sign that a legislator has proposed to hang in all Indiana classrooms … did it ever occur to the legislators that, if you believe in a god, you don’t need a sign. If you don’t believe in a god, you don’t need a sign.
MLB handed down a historic punishment to the Houston Astros for a sign-stealing incident. They suspended the manager and the GM, and the team later fired both. Good, cheating should never be acceptable. Maybe the NFL should follow the lead here and do something about the Patriots.
Why do Trump and the GOP refuse to take measures to thwart Russian interference in next year’s election? They know whose side the Russians are on, and realize they can’t win without their help.
Trump is claiming that Saudi Arabia gave him $1 billion in the bank, to pay for additional U.S. forces. But the Pentagon has confirmed that he Saudis have still not paid their outstanding bill for refueling costs in the Yemen war. What is up with that?
The New York City Bar Association, for the first time in its 150-year history, asked Congress to investigate a sitting Attorney General. They state that Bill Barr, America’s top law enforcement officer, is abusing the powers of his office by using the office for partisan purposes, and not following his Constitutional duties to be impartial. That’s like a judge siding with one of the lawyers before the trial. This damages our justice system, and should never be tolerated by any American, Democrat or Republican.
Doug Collins made an inflammatory comment about Democrats being in love with terrorists. He later apologized for saying that, but not before posting that he would never apologize and asking for campaign donations for doing so. So, say stupid things in order to raise money for their campaign.
If Trump were innocent, he would be screaming from the rooftops for a chance to clear his name. The fact that he refuses to speak, or allow others to speak, is all you need to know about his guilt.
The Democrats are treating Andrew Yang as if he was Bernie Sanders in the 2016 election.
The death of democracy is surely upon us. A Republican judge in Wisconsin has found three Democrats on the state election commission in contempt of court for refusing to vote the way he wanted them to vote, and is fining each of them $250 per day until they change their votes. Republican members of the commission, naturally, voted the way he wanted them to vote. The vote is over the judge’s refusal to allow an appeal of his controversial order to remove 250,000 voters from the rolls. The spirit of Joe McCarthy is alive and well in Wisconsin.
Finally the impeachment paperwork goes to the Senate — so much for the rush to get a vote through the House. The House vote was nothing but a Democrat soapbox — along party lines. Democrats had more votes — Democrats win/America loses. The Senate will be a more fair process. I know Mitch wants to get it done right and take a quick vote so that the Senate can work on it’s backlog of real issues. But Donald wants the truth to come out on many other issues besides impeachment — bring out all of the dirty laundry. I want Donald’s approach — maybe they can make a movie.
Every time Trump and his goons change their story, it means their previous story was a lie. If Trump had a good reason to assassinate Iran’s general, why did he need to lie and then keep making up different lies?
Trump said there were imminent threats. He said they were going to attack the Bagdad embassy. Then four embassies. But the intelligence agencies said there were not any threats. Trump continues to lie and his cult believes it. How can this man be our president?
