One reader wrote, “I think it’d be best if P-T gets rid of Quickly. It does nothing but add fuel to a fire for both sides of the political spectrum. It’s getting tiresome.” Apparently, this reader does not remember the early history of the U.S. and the principles upon which this great country was born. Thomas Jefferson said, “Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.” I have three solutions for the Quickly reader: Russia, China, North Korea.
I absolutely agree with the person talking about getting rid of Quickly. All the editors have let it become since November 2016 is a hate-filled bash Trump column that is allowed on a daily basis and any pro-Trump comments never getting printed. Of course this probably won’t be published, either.
Has anyone heard from the Trump supporter who constantly bragged about how much his/her 401(k) investment had grown because of Trump’s policies? Someone once said, “silence speaks volumes.”
At the very depth of America’s coronavirus crisis, Republicans are now busy cutting major clean air and clean water rules. They purposely chose this time, hoping no one would notice. This is outrageous, and endangers the health and welfare of all Americans. Don’t we all want, need and deserve air and water without toxic chemicals? And here’s the kicker: have you noticed that for years, Democrats are the only ones who try to enforce clean air and water laws?
Quick note to the protesters at the state capitals and hospitals. The mask will fit over your head if you remove the red hat. Now wasn’t that easy?
The FDA thinks it’s just fine to have likely infected people do the at-home test and then put a possibly contaminated package in the mail. These people will have to handle the package. The virus can live on cardboard for at least 24 hours and up to 72. This could contaminate the mailstream spreading to other packages and handlers including the mailman delivering to hundreds of addresses a day. Not a good idea.
Everyone is anxious to get out of the house until they get sick and then regret listening to Trump and his Economy.
Trump says Harvard has to pay the money back. He says that money is for workers. Problem is Harvard never received anything from the payment protection program. They received the funds from the cares act. The act that low income students get for higher education. Just another lie from the habitual liar.
My grandfather served in WW1, my father in WW2, me in Vietnam and my grandson in Iraq. Is it that hard for you to serve your fellow Americans by staying in the house?
People are concerned about the coronavirus and the headlines are Eminem getting sober. Who cares?
If wearing a mask is so important then why are so many Senators and people in the media growing beards. You can’t be properly fitted for a mask with a beard. I used to haul hazardous waste and a beard, side burns and a mustache that went below the edge of your mouth would get you kicked out of the hazardous waste site. Zeke Emanuel wants wearing masks to be like seat belts are to driving your car, where you can get a ticket if your not wearing one. Make any sense to you, because it’s not adding up for me ?
