A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Thursday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, according to police.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the teen was outside with a group of people in the 4400 block of West Jackson Boulevard when a man fired shots from a black Nissan Altima, Chicago police said, striking the teen in the neck and chest. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

No one was in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.
