We all should be prepared for Election Day and afterwards. After November 3, do not expect to know who wins the race until all the votes are counted. Any attempt to stop legally received votes being counting is an attempt to steal the election. We as Americans should not tolerate this.
If you want your children learning in school, and not remotely, if you want businesses to stay open, and you don’t want another lockdown, it is time to wear a mask. You cannot demand half the equation and deny the other.
The U.S. Postal Service was never a problem until President Trump named his top donor Louis DeJoy to head operations, or rather to dismantle operations, in time for the mailing of ballots. Several states have voted by mail for years without a problem until Trump came along.
Does anyone else find it ironic that the “law and order” party tried to run a Biden campaign bus off the road, plotted to kidnap a governor, and stormed into the courthouse in Lansing, Michigan? And now businesses across the country are boarding up their windows in anticipation of a loss for Trump.
Trump has finally completed his wall. The only problem Is that it surrounds him in the White House.
OK, Northwest Indiana we have learned a lot during the pandemic and elections. As an educator, for me, the most important thing that nobody is talking about in Quickly is science/technology training our children. That is the only way they are going to be job ready when the economy opens up. Think about it. They do not have to work two or three part-time jobs the rest of their lives if they are trained to meet the digital job demands. Come on.
With Republicans, it’s one lawsuit after another clogging up the courts, and in every single case, they’re trying to disenfranchise voters, hamper the counting of votes, or in some way interfere with the electoral process. They want to make it difficult to vote, and when voters manage to do it anyway, they don’t want the vote to count. And they call this “insuring free and fair elections,” even though it’s anything but that. And it’s shameful.
Ben Ginsberg, the nation’s single most noted Republican election lawyer, says the widespread Republican effort at voter suppression in the name of voter fraud is “destroying my own party on the Altar of Trump.” He holds the GOP Congress complicit.
Trick or treating in the neighborhood, concerts in the park, family gatherings, friends over to play with your children, after school sports, dining out = COVID-19 spread. Do you get it yet?
The new White House program for getting rid of COVID-19 is to fire doctors. That will work as well as the 18th century plan to get rid of plague by killing cats. That let the plague-ridden rats run free.
As Westville High School and Memorial School in Valpo move to all remote learning this week, I will bite my tongue and not say “I told you so”. School opened this fall before it was safe to do so.
If people have to constantly reassure you about their abilities, they are only doing that because they feel inadequate.
Now these Trump caravans are trying to block access to polls now. Where are the rubber bullets and pepper spray they used on the peaceful protestors and the media?
