A Park Ridge gas station was robbed of cash and cigarettes early last Friday morning, police said.

The robbery occurred at Thorntons, 1118 W. Touhy Ave., at 4:20 a.m. on Dec. 4.

Park Ridge Police Executive Officer Tom Gadomski said a man walked into the station at Touhy and Chester Avenues, implied he had a gun, and demanded money from the register.

An undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes were stolen. The robber fled the gas station in an unknown direction, Gadomski said.
