National Merit Scholarship program sets finalists
Area high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million that will be offered next spring.

Frankfort student excels in robotics competition
Luke He, a student at Chelsea Intermediate School in Frankfort, recently participated in the United States Engineering League’s Illinois Conference Cup and took 5th place in the World Robot Olympiad and 4th place in the SumoBot LEGO divisions.
The talented youngster plans on becoming a Minecraft MOD developer or an AI engineer when he grows up.
