Theft
Jeremy Mitchell, 31, of the 6200 block of W. Port Ave., Milwaukee, was charged Sept. 23 with possession of stolen property after he was found to be in possession of a stolen cellphone. He was also wanted on a bench warrant in Milwaukee for a vehicle theft. He was turned over to the Cook County sheriff’s office and has a scheduled court date of Oct. 13.
Deceptive practices
An individual reported Sept. 27 that they received a call from a person claiming to be with the Illinois Department of Transportation and she provided personal information with the call later determined to be fraudulent.
