Another motor vehicle maintenance shop is looking at the Orchard Crossing shopping center area.
At a public hearing in the Village of Montgomery, Strickland Brothers described their plans to install a motor vehicle repair shop near the corner of Orchard Road and Route 30 in Montgomery. The 1,700-square-foot building would include three bays in which individual cars could be worked on. A total of five parking spaces would be in front of the facility.
One neighbor said traffic in the area around the noon area is especially difficult and this would make it worse. An engineer with the company said those traffic patterns would be fixed as needed and that Strickland would foot the bill.
The planners also directed a public hearing be scheduled on the 6-foot fence height in the village.
