A North Chicago man was shot to death over the weekend in Park City, according to Lake County authorities.
Park City police were dispatched at about noon Sunday for a report of a person down outside an apartment complex in the 700 block of Sharon Avenue.
Responding officers found a 27-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to Vista East Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The Park City police requested the assistance of the Lake County Major Crime Task Force. The case remains under investigation.
