Seeing what’s going on with the Republican party — its continuing defense of The Big Lie, its anti-vaccination and anti-mask posture, its attacks on voting rights, its attacks on education and health care — all this must send a frisson of joy through the hearts of America’s enemies. Republicans are inflicting more damage on our nation than these enemies could ever have done.
People are upset about a $3 gallon of gasoline, but in the meantime, they line up for a $5 cup of coffee — more than once a day.
Now Republicans want to cancel Big Bird because he came out in support of vaccines? Cancel culture at its finest.
If Indiana legislators don’t want to maintain roads and want to support the coal industry, then they should close all our roads and make everyone ride trains powered by steam engines.
There is a lot of discussion about Kyle Rittenhouse and his actions in Kenosha but what about his mom? This is a woman who knowingly drove her teenage son across state lines at night to a place where there was civil unrest with an exceptionally lethal weapon and then dropped him off and left. Faye Dunaway in Mommy Dearest demonstrated better parenting.
The former guy was unable to get an infrastructure bill passed while in office. He now is criticizing the Republicans that voted for it due to the fact it could possibly help Democrats get re-elected. This again shows how little he cares about the country and how everything is about his ego.
How does a judge allow a trial in progress to be disturbed by his own cell phone ringing while witnesses are testifying? Yet at the start of every trial, judges admonish everyone present to have their phones turned off, or not even allowed in a courtroom?
A Quickly writer respects those who voted against the infrastructure bill. The writer implied that when funds are allocated, they will be spent in a wasteful way like the stimulus funds. First, the writer used the old tired narrative of Republicans: Government funds are handouts that will be misspent by liberals. Second, the example of the son being able to purchase a generic prescription for 60% ($4 vs. $10) less than the name brand is amazing! Please tell me where that pharmacy or drug store is located! Third, the writer needs to give some attention to his (her) child’s eating habits. In the example, the child purchased near $6 worth of candy and energy drinks. The child only returned 10 cents to the parent out of $10. Fourth, who is misspending stimulus funds? Obviously, the writer’s logic is a stretch. I respect good logic. I have no respect for misguided narratives! By the way, I am sure the writer is really disgusted with the fact that our government is using our tax monies to repair the damage to the Capitol caused by the Jan. 6 insurrection!
It is ridiculous to think that Donald Trump, who spent his entire life cheating the average person, would suddenly be their savior.
It amazes me that all you print are kudos to a man that has a 38% approval rating and a VP that is at 28%. No other words.
Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit to prevent his documents from being released claiming, “he will suffer irreparable injury.” Isn’t that in itself an admission of guilt?
Is the reason you only see liberal comments in Quickly because liberals don’t have to go to work or is it because liberals select which comments to publish?
