Waukegan, bird town?
I see in today’s paper that Waukegan is now a bird town. Little did I know, I always thought Waukegan was a bird town. I thought the city bird was a mosquito. Little did I know. God, I guess even as an 81-year-old man you learn something. Oh well. I don’t know what I can do with an old hat I have that says the city bird is a mosquito. It’s not that way anymore. It’s a bird capital, not a specific bird. Hey, maybe the mosquitoes can still hang around. I’m sure they will. Especially as an umpire for 22 years at Bowen Park at night. Boy, did we know about the mosquitoes down there.
Harassers and intimidators should be arrested
Whatever happened to arresting people? You’ve got crazies intimidating and harassing our senators and government officials at home. It doesn’t matter whether you’re on the left or on the right. It’s these crazy lefties. That is what they are doing. Have you ever heard of picking up a pen and paper and writing? Apparently not. These college graduates are all good-for-nothing folks that think they are better and above the law, period. And Mr. Manchin is my hero and I’m not a Democrat. Never will be a Democrat again until they change their views.
Know about LeBron James before criticizing him
This is my response to the person who wrote in criticizing LeBron James being called King. For this ignorant person to have facts, they should really do a little research. He’s called King because he’s the king of basketball, not the king of a country. I don’t know where they got the idea that he was the king of a country. Secondly, LeBron James set up a school in his hometown near Cleveland, Ohio, where after-school kids can come in and learn technology on computers. He built this school, had it built, and has supported it ever since, costing tens of millions of dollars of his money. That’s how dedicated a real humanitarian he is. As far as him being called a clown, you’re the clown. Any clown that would support Donald Trump and his raggedy, immoral, indecent, scumbag followers ought to be ashamed of themselves. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. By the way, what has Tom Brady done lately to help humanity? He’s your hero, I guess. Take that into consideration next time you write something ignorant into the Talk of the County in the News-Sun.

Thank you, Charles Selle, for writing articles that are pertinent and important to Lake County and many of our areas You always have excellent topics, they’re well-written, easy to understand and they’re very positive toward the average people that live in our county. Enough with Bone Spurs comments
I’m tired of the “Bone Spurs” contributor to this column, and his frequent reference to Trump’s “15,000 lies.” All that means is that Trump’s statements and actions punctured liberals’ view of reality 15,000 times. Of course, all politicians do lie some of the time, but if saying things that contradict liberals constitutes “lying,” then by conservative standards, Biden also “lies” many times every day. Of course, MSNBC and CNN and other major media will never point that out. “Lying” used to have meaning. Now, all it means is that I don’t like what you’re saying, or what you’re saying goes against my view of the universe, so you’re “lying.” How ignorant that attitude is.
