Other countries should chip in
I read in the paper today that Biden wants $33 billion for Ukraine. You know, I wonder how many other countries have been donating to Ukraine and all these other countries that need help. It seems like we’re always doing it. I think it’s time that we start putting it back into our own country. We’ve got inflation going on something terrible, but yet we can give that kind of money to another country. You know, I believe in helping that country, but I don’t think we should be the only one. I never hear about any other country helping and I’d like to know if they are, too. But I think we need to put the money back into our own country.
On a roll
How do you know when inflation hits home? I’ll tell you when — when your roll of toilet paper goes from 315 sheets per roll to 264 sheets per roll. How do you like that?
Lower existing taxes
I don’t believe the Waukegan schools superintendent should be getting a $20,000 bonus, and the other administrators getting $15,000 bonuses. That means your taxes are going to be going up. Do you think they deserve it? What about our students? How are they learning in school? They’re not doing that well, are they? And look at Pritzker. He’s not lowering our gas and food taxes. He’s just not raising the taxes as he had planned to do. He had planned to raise them, and he just put a hold on that. How about lowering the taxes that are already in place? That would really help people.
Just tell the truth
Hey Trumpers, would someone please call in and answer me a couple of questions? Why won’t Bone Spurs show up for any of his interrogations? Why won’t he go in and talk? All he’s got to do is tell the truth and not lie. Unfortunately, he knows and so do all his people that if you get him in a courtroom under oath, he will lie his rear-end off. He will lie constantly. That’s what he does. And he has done wrong things. That is why he doesn’t want to come in. They will catch him lying, and they will catch him cheating.
What are they thinking?
It’s taken a day to set in, but after reading the article about the administrators, including the superintendent, getting yet another bonus in Waukegan public schools, what have they done? Have they shown success? Scores improving? Behavior improving? That money should be going toward not bonuses, but maintaining the schools and getting parents involved. What are they thinking?
Not a good day
I’m calling in response to the post, “Hurrah for Elon.” I hope that the individual who is so happy that Elon Musk has purchased Twitter realizes that it wasn’t for sale. He bought it by purchasing the stock of a publicly owned company to make it a personal and private company. He does not need any money being the richest man in the world. He thrives for power and by getting control and personally owning one of the largest communication mediums in the world. He sets himself up to direct, in whatever direction he feels, toward him being successful. It is not a good day in the world when an individual purchases a publicly owned communications company.
