The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred about 5 p.m. Wednesday on 75th Street near the Greene Valley Forest Preserve in unincorporated Naperville.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Justin Kmitch said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. They are being treated at Edward Hospital in Naperville and an identity has not been released.
Kmitch would provide no other details on what occurred other than it was an isolated incident.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area of 75th Street between Greene Road and Route 53 while officers investigated the incident.
The roadway was reopened at 7:30 p.m., according the sheriff’s social media posts.
