
Batavia police are investigating after Pride flags were stolen from outside four homes in the city, officials said Wednesday.
From Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, Pride flags were stolen from outside two homes in the 500 block of Houston Street, one home in the 1200 block of Creek Lane and one home in the 600 block of Church Road, Batavia police said in a news release.
The incident in the 600 block of Church Road occurred between 1:57 and 2:03 a.m. The flagpoles and mounts on which the flags were displayed were also damaged.
Police are asking residents in the affected areas to check their video security cameras. If any applicable footage is found pertaining to the thefts, residents should contact Batavia police at 630-454-2500.
Residents with additional information on the incidents or if they also had a flag stolen are asked to contact police as well.
