Kane County Sheriff’s officials said they are investigating after a man was found shot to death early Thursday morning in an unincorporated area near Aurora.
Deputies responded around 1:20 a.m. to the 800 block of Hill Avenue for a report of shots fired, officials said in a news release. Upon arrival, police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a residential trailer.
Officers applied first aid until paramedics from the Aurora Township Fire Department arrived and took the man to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where the man was later pronounced dead.
Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation, according to the release. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Kane County Sheriff’s Office at 630-444-1103.
