The vicious, violent, brutal, hateful attack on Paul Pelosi is an outgrowth of the vicious, violent, brutal, hateful lies and position presented by Trump and his associates. Instead of Lindsey Graham saying there will be trouble, he needs to direct the followers to stop the trouble and lies. Other Republicans need to do the same. Stop talking crazy and acting crazy and direct your followers to stop the craziness and lies.

The attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband should be a warning to progressives that it’s time to quit talking about gun control and start arming themselves to repel the attacks on democracy by Trump’s MAGA followers. The insurrection Jan. 6, 2021 was just the beginning. They will challenge every loss at the polls and make a mockery of the electoral process and, if that doesn’t get them complete control, they will attack again to create a dictatorship for Trump or one of his acolytes from Florida or Texas.

So much for nonbiased reporting by a newspaper writer. Lisa Mascaro wrote about the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband in Monday’s Southtown. Instead of just reporting the facts, she goes on to say it’s the latest parallel to the Capitol riot of Jan. 6, 2021. Can’t you just report the facts and keep your prejudices, political views and opinions out? I read the paper to keep informed on issues. If I wanted your opinion, I’d buy your autobiography.
