Dictatorship talk dangerous: Americans can no longer ignore the senseless rants of Donald Trump. His call for the suspension of our Constitution as well as his reinstatement as president is as dangerous as it is foolish. And while it may’ve been popular at one time to be an enthusiastic supporter of the disgraced ex-president, it’s quickly becoming unfashionable to demand the overthrow of our democracy in favor of a dictatorship.

Threatening democracy: In a rage of disappointment Donald Trump wants to suspend the Constitution! Failing with his unsupported claim of election fraud, he has turned to a different approach by attack the Constitution for his election loss. What makes us different from a democracy is the Constitution, which grants enabling rights of how our government is to be structure as a Republic. It is the constitution that directs our government as to creating the rights and laws that we stand for as a nation and in that Trump can’t comprehend.

Time to wake up: Talk about sleeping with the enemy. What in God’s good name is really going on with the so-called president of the United States. In two years, he has so ruined this once great country. Getting oil from Venezuela instead of our country — absolutely awful. Showing off his State Dinner while children, veterans, seniors are going hungry and homeless. Some of “we the people” need to wake up.

Ruining Santa: What in God’s name is going on with the movies today? I just read about Santa with the hammer. What do you think is going to happen to our poor children who still believe in Santa. Shame, shame on the moviemakers.

Legislating crime: Illinois Democrat Sen. Robert Peters sponsored the SAFE-T Act and said he changed the fortunes for thousands of working class Illinoisans. What he does not realize is that working people usually are not the ones committing crimes, and he has made us less safe, not more safe. Thanks, Democrats.

Railroad employees: As a son of a retired union railroad worker, I can remember my father always complaining that every time their union wanted to go on strike for higher wages, the U.S. president stepped in and averted a strike. Teachers can strike whenever they please, but when railroad workers want the same, forget it. The United States government is no friend to union railroad employees.
