The Aurora City Council is expected to create a banquet hall liquor license for the renovated facility The Vault 106 near Indian Trail and Lake Street in the city.

Aldermen will vote at Tuesday’s regular meeting on creating a Class B on-site premise consumption only license for The Vault. It is on the consent agenda, so it is likely to be approved.

The Vault 106 is a new banquet facility remodeled into the former Waidley Aurora Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 468 Hall, which is on a small street behind Lake Street, accessible from Indian Trail just east of Lake. Its official address is 106 W. Indian Trail.

It is owned by Norma Montes as MCV Holdings LLC. It is a performance and event venue. The Vault Facebook page says the facility can host many different events, including a pop-up shop, birthday party, corporate event or any special occasion.

If approved, it would be the 102nd Class B license in Aurora, the 206th overall liquor license in the city.

The City Council creates licenses, but they are actually issued by the city’s liquor commissioner, who is the mayor.
