An even-keel season sees standout players from 15 schools represented on first three teams.

First Team

Marlee-Michelle Coleman, St. Laurence, freshman, guard/forward: Burst onto scene by averaging 15.1 points and 8.4 rebounds. Also totaled 73 steals, 50 assists and 56 blocked shots. All-conference. Has offer from Chicago State.

Lucy Hynes, Lockport, senior, guard: Averaged 12 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals in helping the Porters to best record in 39 seasons. All-conference. Committed to Illinois Wesleyan.

Caroline Smith, Lincoln-Way West, senior, forward: Averaged 13.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.8 blocked shots. SouthWest Suburban Conference’s player of the year. Illinois Basketball Coaches Association special mention all-state. Committed to Drake for volleyball.

Kamryn Turner, Bloom, junior, guard: Averaged 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.3 steals. All-conference. IBCA special mention all-state.

Tiara Williams, Morgan Park Academy, sophomore, guard: Averaged 28 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.9 steals. Made 84 3-pointers for Class 1A power. All-conference. IBCA first team all-state.

Second Team

Taji Alexa, Mother McAuley, sophomore, guard: Averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals. All-conference. IBCA special mention all-state.

Taylor Bolton, Marian Catholic, senior, forward: Versatile player on balanced team that reached Class 3A supersectional. All-conference. IBCA special mention all-state.

Molly Knight, Providence, senior, guard: Led Celtics in scoring, averaging 16.3 points. Had team-best 143 assists, 72 steals and 89 deflections. All-conference. IBCA third team all-state.

Jessica Manley, Shepard, junior, forward. Averaged 21.4 points and 7.9 rebounds. Added 79 steals, 36 assists and 40 blocked shots. All-conference.

Lily Porter, Marist, sophomore, forward: Averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Shot 47% from field as balanced RedHawks advanced to Class 4A supersectional. All-conference. IBCA special mention all-state.

Third Team

Danielle Dempsey, Oak Lawn, senior, forward: Averaged 10 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals. All-conference. Has offers from North Central College and Moraine Valley.

Abbey Hobart, Stagg, junior, guard: Averaged 17 points. Also totaled 105 rebounds, 55 assists and 80 steals. All-conference.

Lauryn Jackson, T.F. North, junior, forward: Averaged 11 points and 7.3 rebounds for Meteors, who finished 13-0 in SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Da’Jha Johnson, Hillcrest, junior, guard: Averaged 18 points, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals. South Suburban Blue’s player of the year.

Zoe Trunk, Sandburg, junior, guard: Averaged 11.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.3 steals and 4.0 deflections. All-conference.
