Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and Wilmette native Alex Vlasic paid $1.56 million on March 7 for a three-bedroom condominium in a newly built Lincoln Park building.
Vlasic, 23, was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2019 but didn’t join the team until after skating for three years for Boston University. He signed an initial contract in 2022 and signed a six-year, $27.6 million contract extension in April 2024.
In Lincoln Park, Vlasic’s new unit has more than 1,700 square feet of private outdoor space and was constructed by developer Piotr Buchajski. Vlasic made the purchase through an Illinois limited liability company whose manager is his hockey agent, Steve Bartlett.
Max Austin-Williams of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate represented Vlasic. He declined to comment on Vlasic’s purchase.
