Naked Raygun, Alkaline Trio and Screeching Weasel will headline concerts at the Metro (3730 N. Clark St.) as aftershows for this year’s 20th anniversary Riot Fest. The Alkaline Trio set is already sold out; the other two concerts are on sale now:

According to an announcement Thursday from Riot Fest co-founder “Riot Mike” Petryshyn, Metro was chosen as the venue because of his longtime connection with club owner Joe Shanahan. Riot Fest was established in 2005 first as a multi-venue festival, including at Metro.
Alkaline Trio also plays Riot Fest on Sept. 19, Screeching Weasel on Sept. 21. Also announced, the Chicago-formed punk band Naked Raygun will reissue its catalog of LPs via Touch & Go Records on Oct. 24.
