A 49-year-old man was found fatally wounded Friday night inside his residence in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of someone shot in the 400 block of East 72nd Street where they found a 49-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene where a firearm was recovered, police said.

The victim was identifed as Kazeem Jinadu of Grand Crossing ofthe same address where he was found fatally wounded, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
