CrossPoint Church: 214 S Court St. — CrossPoint Church will have a First Steps luncheon from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18. Greater First Church of the Northwest: 4862 Olcott Ave. — Greater First Church of the Northwest will have an MLK Northwest Indiana Community Service Project from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 19. The event, hosted by Lazarus Blueprint in partnership with community organizations, will have electronics, toys, bookbags, household appliances, clothing and diapers, while supplies last. The community service project is a collective effort to strengthen families and meet needs across the region.
