At least six people were wounded, all with apparent non-life-threatening injuries, during a shooting in the town of Normal, just outside the Illinois State University campus, according to local police. The victims included two boys, two men and two women, University police said, and two were ISU students.

Around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Normal police responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue. Responding officers found multiple individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds, according to a police statement. The scene was secured with help from the Bloomington Police Department, McLean County sheriff’s office, the Illinois State University Police Department and the Illinois State Police.

The six injured people received first aid and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The Normal Police Department said a preliminary investigation indicated the shooting appeared to be isolated. No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning.
