Geneva takes over top spot, while Hampshire, Metea Valley and West Aurora enter the rankings.

1. Geneva 4-1 (2): Michigan State recruit Mason Bruesch bags two homers and a triple against Buffalo Grove and also strikes out seven against Glenbard West.

2. Jacobs 5-0 (8): George Donze throws complete game-shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks against Rockton Hononegah before the Golden Eagles’ spring trip downstate.

3. Yorkville 3-1 (7): Aurora University recruit Kal Arntzen comes up with two homers for the Foxes, also tying Gavin Geegan for team-high honors with four RBIs.

4. St. Charles East 4-1 (9): The Saints head to Nashville for spring break and hold a team meeting with former MLB reliever Matt Reynolds, a St. Charles East alum.

5. Hampshire 4-0-1 (NR): Nicholas Lueders is on an early season heater for the Whip-Purs, going 8-for-14 with seven runs, two doubles, a homer and seven RBIs.

6. Metea Valley 4-1 (NR): Oklahoma recruit Tyler Gluting is on fire for the Mustangs, posting 13 hits, including six doubles and three homers to go with eight RBIs and three steals.

7. West Aurora 5-2 (NR): Angel Romero is developing into a breakout star for the Blackhawks, going 11-for-16 in the first six games with 10 runs and 10 RBIs.

8. Waubonsie Valley 2-3 (1): Oakland recruit Shane Torres is tearing the cover off the ball in the early going, posting three extra-base hits with six RBIs.

9. South Elgin 3-3 (3): Two-way star Zacharia Barkho stands out with the bat so far, hitting .474 with six runs, six RBIs and three doubles to go with a 1-1 record and 3.00 ERA.

10. Oswego East 3-3 (6): Oklahoma State recruit Jacsen Tucker, a shortstop and one of the best juniors in the state, is off to a fast start with three homers.
