SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks selected Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd pick in the NFL draft Thursday night.

While the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks were open to trading their top pick, they instead used it to address one of their top needs. Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III left for the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency, and Zach Charbonnet continues to rehab from a knee injury.

The Seahawks brought aboard Emanuel Wilson, who signed in free agency after three seasons with the Green Bay Packers, to add to the team’s running back depth. Price will compete with Wilson for playing time this fall.

Price split time in the Fighting Irish backfield last season with Jeremiyah Love, who went to the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 3 pick Thursday. The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Price is a downhill runner, though he can bounce carries to the outside to make good use of his speed and quickness.

Last season, Price ran for 674 yards on 113 carries (6 yards per attempt) and a career-high 11 rushing touchdowns. In his three seasons at Notre Dame, Price ran for 1,692 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Last season, the Seahawks started slow on the ground, but picked up steam as the season went along. They finished the 2025 season with the 10th-most rushing yards per game (123.3).
