Alsip

SEX OFFENDER: Charles E. King, 27, Chicago, was arrested May 16 by Alsip police at 115th Street and Lawler Avenue and subsequently charged with failing to register as a sex offender, concluding a search that began in the 4700 block of 95th Street, Oak Lawn police said. King was convicted in Cook County of aggravated criminal sexual abuse to a 10 year old when he was 21, according to the state’s sexual offender registry, which lists him as a sexual predator.

Burbank

PUBLIC INDECENCY: Nicolas Graham, 36, Chicago, was arrested June 2 and charged with public indecency after pulling down his pants and sitting on a parking block in the 8100 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

GAMBLING BREAK IN: It took three masked individuals using sledge hammers less than five minutes to smash through the glass front door of Ray’s Lucky Bar, 6217 79th St., early June 3, and exit with a video gambling machine cash box, police said.

Chicago Heights

GUN POSSESSION: Cody J. Shamblin, 28, South Haven, Mississippi, was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after organized crime division investigators saw a handgun, recovered a second handgun and determined Shamblin lacked a gun permit June 9 in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway, Cook County sheriff’s police said.

Chicago Ridge

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Waleed W. Muthana, 18, Chicago Ridge, was arrested June 16 in the 10200 block of Ridgeland Avenue and subsequently charged with aggravated speeding after driving 68 mph in a 30 mph zone, police said.

Evergreen Park

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Madeline E. Turek, 18, Chicago, was arrested early May 31 on 95th Street near California Avenue and charged with aggravated speeding after driving 73 mph in a 30 mph zone, police said.

Frankfort

RECKLESS DRIVING: A Park Forest man who tailgated another motorist, questioned the other motorist’s driving near St. Francis and Pfeiffer roads and then drove into the other vehicle was arrested June 1 after coming into the police station, police said. Tyler J. Tubbs, 33, 100 block of Nanti Street, was charged with felony criminal damage to property, reckless driving, disorderly conduct, leaving the scene of a collision and failing to report a collision in connection with a two-vehicle crash.

Harvey

GUN POSSESSION: Kendle D. Cobb, 18, 1400 block of Monterey Court, University Park, was arrested June 10 and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in the 15000 block of Dixie Highway after Cook County sheriff’s police observed and recovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol and loaded inserted magazine and determined he lacked a gun permit, sheriff’s police said. The weapon had been reported stolen from Matteson, sheriff’s police said.

Lansing

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Armond M. Ewing, 26, Chicago, was arrested May 9 and subsequently charged with aggravated assault after brandishing two kitchen knives while threatening employees at Walmart, 17625 Torrence Ave., police said.

Monee

NO CDL: Louis Dees, 47, Bronx, New York, was arrested June 6 and subsequently charged with driving without a commercial driver’s license during a crash investigation at Monee-Manhattan Road and Sunset Drive, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING: Abel Alvarado, 40, 600 block of Sangamon Street, Chicago Heights, was arrested June 13 and subsequently charged with drunken driving after officers found him asleep at the wheel in a restaurant drive-thru in the 6000 block of Monee-Manhattan Road, police said.

Oak Lawn

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Keith B. Williams Jr., 31, 4000 block of 93rd Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested May 16 and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest after assuming a fighting stance within touching distance of an officer, police said.

AGGRAVATED DUI: Erick Gutierrez-Martinez, 26, 5300 block of Otto Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested May 18 and charged with aggravated drunken driving/no license, unlawful transportation of open alcohol, failure to signal lane change, improper parking on roadway, suspended registration and no proof of insurance during a stop at 98th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

Orland Park

RETAIL THEFT: Julian A. Chism, 29, Chicago, was arrested May 16 at Orland Square and subsequently charged with felony retail theft, possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of a theft detection device after taking merchandise selling for $577 from Sephora and was found to have unpurchased merchandise from Foot Locker selling for $365, police said. Chism was also charged with felony retail theft after officers reviewed Foot Locker security video, police said.

DUI CRASH: Jennifer L. Vaccaro, 63, 15200 block of Primrose Lane, Orland Park, was arrested May 19 and charged with drunken driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, illegally transporting alcohol and failing to provide proof of insurance during a two-vehicle crash investigation at 157th Street and 80th Avenue, police said.

Steger

GUN POSSESSION: Traison T. Watson, 34, Country Club Hills, is scheduled to appear in Will County court June 25, charged with possessing a weapon after being convicted of a forcible felony, possessing a weapon while ineligible for a gun permit, aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle and recklessly discharging a firearm, according to court records online. Watson, taken into custody May 22, displayed a handgun to a motorist Nov. 16 at a gas station in the 3400 block of Chicago Road, followed the motorist to a nearby bank and then shot at him, police said.

HIT-RUN: Delilah A. Navaro, 25, Chicago, was arrested June 13 and subsequently charged with leaving the scene of a collision, driving on a suspended license, illegal transport of alcohol and illegal possession of personal use cannabis in a vehicle in the 300 block of Sangamon Street after officers located her with the help of mass surveillance cameras, police said.
