Seven players from Class 4A state champion Lake Central, five players from Crown Point and four players from Class 3A state champion Hanover Central are among the selections.

First team

Ally Compton, Munster, junior, third baseman/pitcher: Batted .424 with 12 homers, 36 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Also went 14-6 with a 1.82 ERA and 222 strikeouts in 119 1/3 innings. Conference offensive player of the year and all-state first team. Indiana recruit.

Jillian DeYoung, Hanover Central, sophomore, pitcher: Went 21-4 with a 1.25 ERA and 264 strikeouts in 151 innings for Class 3A state champion. Also batted .349 with three homers and 33 RBIs. Conference pitcher of the year and all-state second team.

Ashlyn Hite, Andrean, sophomore, third baseman: Batted .510 with 11 homers, 51 RBIs and 35 runs scored for Class 2A semistate finalist. All-conference and all-state second team.

Lexi Iwema, Lake Central, senior, shortstop: Batted .475 with 17 homers, 58 RBIs, 53 runs scored and 11 stolen bases for Class 4A state champion. All-conference, all-state first team and North All-Star. Indiana recruit.

Ashlyn Kita, Crown Point, senior, third baseman: Batted .505 with eight homers, 39 RBIs and 30 runs scored. All-conference, all-state second team and North All-Star. DePaul recruit.

Paige Liezert, Crown Point, senior, pitcher: Went 16-2 with a 0.86 ERA and 226 strikeouts in 122 1/3 innings. Conference MVP, all-state first team, North All-Star and Miss Softball finalist. Miami of Ohio recruit.

Sienna Stilley, Hanover Central, senior, catcher: Batted .452 with 13 homers, 37 RBIs and 16 runs scored for Class 3A state champion. All-conference, all-state first team and North All-Star. Jacksonville State recruit.

Maddie Such, Lake Central, junior, pitcher: Went 17-1 with a 0.95 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 103 1/3 innings for Class 4A state champion. Also batted .474 with seven homers, 40 RBIs and 18 runs scored. All-conference and all-state first team. Kentucky recruit.

Tegan Tripp, Lake Central, senior, third baseman: Batted .537 with 12 homers, 52 RBIs, 55 runs scored and 15 stolen bases for Class 4A state champion. All-conference, all-state second team and North All-Star. Virginia Tech recruit.

Madi Wainwright, Lake Central, junior, catcher: Batted .528 with 11 homers, 31 RBIs and 27 runs scored for Class 4A state champion. All-conference and all-state second team. Indiana recruit.

Second team

Jordyn Botma, Boone Grove, junior, pitcher: Went 14-5 with a 2.15 ERA and 154 strikeouts in 110 2/3 innings. Also batted .506 with 16 RBIs and 30 runs scored. Conference MVP and all-state first team. Oakland recruit.

Evi Cuevas, Crown Point, junior, catcher: Batted.412 with three homers, 26 RBIs and 10 runs scored. All-state third team.

Preslee Hill, Lowell, senior, third baseman: Batted .407 with seven homers, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. All-conference and all-state third team. Ursuline recruit.

Delilah Kincaid, Valparaiso, junior, third baseman: Batted .450 with six homers, 34 RBIs, 33 runs scored and 14 stolen bases. All-conference and all-state second team. Bowling Green State recruit.

Maddi McCoy, Andrean, senior, outfielder: Batted .514 with 13 RBIs, 48 runs scored and 26 stolen bases for Class 2A semistate finalist. All-conference, all-state second team and North All-Star.

Lauren Mish, Illiana Christian, sophomore, first baseman/outfielder: Batted .532 with four homers, 39 RBIs and 26 runs scored. All-conference and all-state third team.

Scarlette Tegtman, Crown Point, senior, outfielder: Batted .466 with 13 RBIs, 39 runs scored and 23 stolen bases.  All-conference and all-state third team.

MaKayla Van Vossen, Lake Central, senior, second baseman: Batted .409 with six homers, 36 RBIs, 51 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. DePaul recruit.

Caroline Wendlinger, Munster, junior, utility: Batted .402 with five homers, 27 RBIs and 22 runs scored. All-conference and all-state third team. Iowa recruit.

Camryn Young, Griffith, freshman, second baseman/pitcher: Batted .557 with six homers, 30 RBIs, 41 runs scored and 20 stolen bases for Class 3A sectional champion. Also went 11-3 with a 1.96 ERA and 136 strikeouts in 75 innings. All-conference and all-state third team.
