Two people were found shot to death near the Midway Plaisance in Hyde Park Thursday evening, authorities said.
Chicago police confirmed that a weapon was recovered with the victims, a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, who were discovered inside a vehicle in the 5900 block of South Ellis Avenue just after 5:30 p.m., both with gunshot wounds to their heads.
Both victims were transported to UChicago Medicine, where they were later pronounced dead. Their identities weren’t immediately released.
Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
