A 49-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead Wednesday night after she was struck by a sedan on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago police said.
About 11:30 p.m., the motorcyclist was headed south in the 400 block of South Lake Shore Drive in the Loop neighborhood when she was struck by a gray sedan traveling in the same direction, police said.
She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The 25-year-old driver of the sedan was not injured, and was placed into police custody at the scene.
The Major Accident Investigation Unit was investigating the crash.
