Andrew Keating Pollard OBITUARY

Andrew “Drew” Keating Pollard (June 18, 1985 – July 4, 2026), beloved son of Michael and Moira; proud brother of Megan (Matthew) La Tronica, Kathleen (Alexander) Sullivan, and Emily Pollard; joyful uncle to Louis and Josephine La Tronica and Charles Sullivan; cherished grandson of Mary and the late Louis Keating, and Andrew and Marianne Pollard. Dear nephew and cousin to the extensive Keating and Pollard families, including his guardian angel, Jorie Pollard.

Born and raised in Sauganash on the north side of Chicago, Drew attended Queen of All Saints and Loyola Academy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis.

Drew died of an enlarged heart, an apt metaphor for his love of this world and the people in his life.

Drew was a quintessential Renaissance man with many interests, including art, literature, architecture, history, film, and music. He was a collector and curator of fine objects, memorabilia, and books. Drew enthusiastically preferred physical media to streaming and amassed a vast collection of records, DVDs, and CDs. He served as his family’s historian and he treasured mementos from every generation. Drew found joy in all forms of beauty and in life’s simple pleasures, like a good cup of coffee or a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. He looked forward to weekly visits with his Nana, whom he adored. He traveled the globe and shared thoughtful recommendations with family and friends for places he went and dreamed of going.

Drew was a dedicated logistics manager at Endeavor Health Evanston Hospital. He took great pride in being a trusted team member and a part of the healthcare system.

Drew fought tough battles in life and won. He will be remembered for his strength of spirit, his kindness to all, his wry sense of humor, and his wide-ranging intellectual curiosity.
