Betty Griswold OBITUARY

Betty M. Griswold passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. She was born in Aurora, Il on May 8, 1930 to Carl and Bertha Benter. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School class of 1944 and East Aurora High School

class of 1948. Betty worked at Nicor for 36 years, retired in 1989. She and Gerald Griswold were married in 1967 and moved to their dream home in Big Rock IL. They enjoyed ballroom dancing, square dancing, bowling and playing cards until his untimely death in 1975. Preceding her in death: her parents, her husband Gerald, her brother Ronald Benter, her daughter Lynne Garner, special pets Molly and Zoe. She is survived by her brother James (Jeep) Benter and her son-in-law Ron (Moose) Garner. There will be no service. Memorials may be made to any Humane Society.
