Carole J. Yackley OBITUARY

Carole J. Yackley (née Schutte), age 83, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Marseilles, IL. She was born on January 6, 1943, in Elgin, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond J. “Ray” Yackley, whom she married November 7, 1964 and who preceded her in death on September 7, 2018, loving mother of Danielle (Randy) Leannah of Marseilles, IL and Darin Yackley of North Aurora, IL, adored grandmother of Alexa, Peter and Sophia Kallergis, Crystal Aguinaga and Faith Yackley, devoted daughter of the late Vertice Schutte and the late Wanda (the late Robert) Johnson, daughter-in-law of the late Lucian and Rita Yackley, dear sister of Diane Schutte, the late Yvonne (the late Bill) Montrose and the late Charlene (Butch) Steib, sister-in-law of Sharon (the late Larry) Sinnott, Darrell Yackley, Judy Lagro, Chris Calderaro, Yvonne (the late Richard) Ingalls, Dan (Teri) Yackley, the late Janet (the late Gerald) Gehrke and the late Darlene (the late Larry) Ryan, fond cousin, aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Carole grew up in Carpentersville, Waconda (on a mink farm) and Geneva, IL and was a graduate of Geneva High School. She worked out of her home as a beautician for many years and was a longtime member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. Carole enjoyed quilting and sewing.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.

Services will begin Tuesday, April 21, 10:30 AM from the funeral home and will proceed to an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, IL 60540.

Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
