Charles Horberg, known as “Sonny” and “Chuck,” passed away on June 26 at the age of 89. Born to Morris and Esther Horberg, Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Kay Goldblatt. He is survived by Sandra (née Pfingst), his devoted wife of 68 years, whose love and partnership were the foundation of a beautiful life together; his daughters, Ellen Krupp (Jeff) and Robin Bruebach (Tom); his grandchildren, Ethan (Madeleine), Lauren, and Emily; and his great-granddaughter, Norah. Sonny began his career as a jeweler at 19 in the Mallers Building, where he spent decades helping people celebrate their most meaningful moments. He understood that jewelry represented far more than precious stones and metals—it marked love, commitment, achievement, and family milestones. Though he spent a lifetime surrounded by beautiful jewels, his greatest treasures were always the people he loved.
