Dorothy nee Lipman Baumgarten OBITUARY

Dorothy “Dodie” Baumgarten, nee Lipman, age 102, died peacefully April 16. Married for 63 years to the late Lee. She is survived by her two sons, Rick (Esther) and Randy (Eileen); Grandchildren Mara Force (Joshua), and Dr. Lauren, Brad (Debby), Todd, greatgrandchildren Benjamin and Hayley, and sister Barbara “Babs” (Sheldon) Kent. Dodie attended the University of Chicago and was a long-time volunteer Associate in the Department of Anthropology at the Field Museum of Natural History. Services to be private. An open house celebration of her life will be at Randy and Eileen Baumgarten’s home at 15 Rolling Ridge Rd., Northfield, From 2:00 to 7:00PM, Monday, April 20. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Federation of Chicago www.juf.org
