Gerard J. O’Keefe, 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Syracuse, New York, he grew up in Northbrook and Deerfield, Illinois as the oldest of six children. Gerry was a devoted husband to Margret, proud father to daughters Katherine (Paul Jang) and Sara (Jack Hattendorf), and a beloved brother, uncle, son, and friend. An avid golfer, gifted salesman, and the original “girl dad,” he never missed an opportunity to support his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, faith, and unwavering love.
