Henry Joseph Burke OBITUARY
Henry Joseph (Hank) Burke, 76, of Kalispell, Montana (originally Chicago, Illinois) passed away on June 17, 2026. Born on January 22, 1950, he lived a life defined by dedication, hard work, creativity and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, he earned a Bachelor of Science with dual majors of Computer Systems Design and Electrical Engineering. He built a distinguished career in industrial systems design, automation, working with global companies and traveling extensively. At times he and his family lived for extended periods overseas. His expertise, ingenuity, and problem-solving capabilities earned him respect of colleagues and clients alike.
For 52 years, he was the devoted husband of his beloved wife Carol. Together they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by his wife, two children Bridget and Adam (Julie) and two grandchildren, Logan and Ella. All of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He played many family roles; son, brother, uncle, husband, father and loved us all. Hank was an avid fan of the Chicago White SOX and Chicago Bears, the latter of which led to the additional challenge of maintaining a peaceful coexistence in the family with one member being an avid Packer fan. All in good fun.
Hank was a man of remarkable character inventive, loyal, strong, independent and persevering. His tenacity and creativity enabled him to overcome challenges and achieve success throughout his life. While dedicated to his profession, he was equally devoted to his family. He treasured time spent with loved ones and had a special affection for the dogs that shared his home over the years.
Those who know him will remember his determination, his willingness to tackle any problem and to find innovative solutions where others saw obstacles. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the work he accomplished and the many lives he touched, his kindness, wisdom and steadfast support.
The family has held a private visitation in Kalispell, MT. In remembrance, the family suggests a kind donation on Hank’s behalf to the Parkinson’s Foundation at the link below: www.parkinson.org
Thank you for remembering Hank and being a part of his rich and loving life. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home of Kalispell, Montana is caring for the family.
