Janet Irene Lloyd, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago on Jul 20, 1946 (Age 79). Janet lived a life defined by intelligence, determination, compassion, and love for the people around her.

She leaves behind sister & best friend, Catherine Hunter (Lloyd) /Tom Hunter (children: Alyssa and Daniel) and brother David /Denise Lloyd (children: Cameron and Brandon); sister Laura Billings Hampton. Proceeded in death by her beloved wife Joyce Parra who brought joy to all who knew her; her parents Winnifred Brubaker Billings and William Lloyd.

Janet valued education, earning several degrees (Rockford College, Roosevelt University, Northwestern University) and spoke 5 languages. She created her legacy saving up to ensure her siblings and nieces /nephews would also have the opportunity to attend college.

Janet’s professional life was distinguished by dedication and versatility. She served as a Paralegal and Office Manager at a Chicago law firm for 20 years. She joined First Analysis Corporation, a venture capital firm as their first employee where she worked her way up to Financial/Compliance Manager /Office Manager. She later worked as a financial consultant serving as Controller at Quinlan & Crisham law firm, Accounting Manager at Re-Employment Services, Ltd. Her strong work ethic, sharp mind, and steady leadership left a lasting impact on every workplace she touched.

She lived in her home city of Chicago, Illinois until retirement, when she and Joyce moved between Florida and San Antonio, Texas. Along the way they created a life rich with experiences, travel, friendships, and beautiful memories.

Janet was a woman of remarkable intelligence and unwavering drive, someone whose strength carried her through life’s challenges with grace. She approached every day with purpose and poured her incredible compassion into the people around her. Janet made others feel seen, valued, and supported. Her presence enriched the lives of those who knew her in ways that will be felt for years to come.
