Jeannie Oelerich OBITUARY
Jeannie Oelerich (Barry) left the party April 1 2026. It was a peaceful exit – which was totally not her style…
She loved life, art, travel, and especially people… at parties – laughing. And the occasional scotch, so raise a glass to a real character.
She was always interested, never boring, sometimes overenthusiastic – she knew what she liked and wanted, and wasn’t shy telling you. She truly cared for people and wanted the best for them.
Her JustMarvelous Walking Guides helped so many travelers navigate the highlights of the world’s great cities.
She was a keen competitor and steadfast partner on the tennis court and the bridge table (actually in all things), but gracious no matter what the outcome.
Youngest of Jim and Belle Barry’s 4 children – she was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. She made her home in Chicago, its North Shore and Naples FL.
She’ll be joining her true love: Dick Oelerich – her husband since 1963.
She is survived by her son Richard, his wife Charlotte, granddaughter Anya, and many many friends and relatives.
