John Belmonte OBITUARY

John Belmonte, 84, of Waukegan, IL passed away Monday, June 22, 2026. He was married to his loving wife, Lillian for 62 years. John attended North Chicago Community High School and graduated in 1959. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed in Germany as an M.P. John was employed by the US Postal Service for the duration of his career. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, doing yardwork, and taking walks at the Illinois Beach State Park. In addition to his wife Lillian, John is survived by his daughters, Linda and Laurie; and his granddaughter, Lauren. John was preceded in death by his parents Gasper and Bernice. Burial will take place privately. Contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice in Northbrook, IL. Arrangements are entrusted to Gurnee Salata Funeral Home.
