John Jacob Frank, 82, of Mayfair, died May 17, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Karen (née Jurgensen) for 61 years; loving father of Andrea (James), Larry (Mike), Jacob (Tammy), Sarah, and Matthew Frank; proud grandfather of Thomas Koehnline, Gabriel and Adrian Frank. Preceded in death by parents Ruth and John Frank and brothers Bob, Pete, and Dave. Retired engineer for Switchcraft and Playskool, volunteer at North Park Nature Center, Bears fan, and lover of questionable humor and the outdoors. Visitation Saturday, May 30, from noon until 1 p.m. funeral service at Irving Park Lutheran Church, Chicago. Cremation private.
