John Roland Strazer, age 70, died June 16, 2026. He was born September 2, 1955 in an Army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. John was a resident of Waukegan, Illinois.

John’s first love was a surfboard. He was avid surfer and a scuba diver, finding joy and freedom in the waters of Hawaii.

John is survived by his father, Donald J. Strazer; his son, John (Nicole) Strazer II; and two grandchildren, Hunter and Willow Rain Strazer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Corrine; his sister, Linda Ditello; and his brother, Donald Strazer.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031. Interment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. IL.
