Kenneth Arthur Grubb OBITUARY

Kenneth Arthur Grubb, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in Libertyville, Illinois.

Ken was born on February 18, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Loren Grubb and Florence Davies Grubb. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Michelle Lynn Grubb Archer.

He is survived by his son, Geoffrey (Audra) Grubb of Austin, Texas, along with his cherished “grand-pets,” Ziggy, Journey, Scarlet, and Freddie; his daughter, Michelle (Dan) Brooks of Lincolnshire, Illinois; and his treasured grandchildren, Jackson, Emma, and Samantha, as well as grand-dog Sophie.

Ken is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Scott Archer, Brett Archer, Jodi Grunwald, Suzie Herring, and Jill Giddens, along with their spouses and many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

A proud patriot, Ken served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his active-duty service, he continued his commitment to the Air Force through the Reserves, supporting the United States Air Force Academy athletic department.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dear Franks of Deerfield, 770 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Ken’s life over one of his favorite meals. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Texas at a later date, with details to be announced.
