Kevin O’Mara Walsh, age 77, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2026. Beloved father of Kevin (Kiera), Patrick (fiancée Cris), Michael (Claire), Emmett (Lisa), and Ryan (Sarah) Walsh; devoted grandfather of Harry, Emmett, Buckley, Reilly, Tully, Samuel, Emma, Marc, and Nora; dear brother of John (Dia), Mary (John) McHugh, and Therese “Tagger” (William) O’Brien; beloved godfather of Molly Crawford; fond uncle of many and former spouse of Patricia Sexton Walsh. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Maggi Shanahan Hamilton; parents, John and Loretta Walsh, and his sister, Loretta (“Lori”) Walsh. A graduate of Fenwick High School and John Carroll University, Kevin spent more than 40 years as a wealth management professional. He celebrated 44 years of sobriety and devoted much of his life to sponsoring others through Alcoholics Anonymous. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family and golf, and his generous heart. Visitation Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 1530 Jackson Ave., River Forest. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Peter B.
